Ray of Hope Medical Centre and Future Use Building
Winnipeg, Manitoba
CPI worked closely with Ray of Hope to create a modern, functional medical clinic and pharmacy that can serve up to eight physicians. A specialized medical HVAC distribution system was incorporated into the design for the clinic. The result was a space that met the unique needs of the client while succeeding in conforming to all relevant building codes and regulations. The medical clinic was constructed within the larger building which also provided room for additional, third party commercial space.

Cornish Library Heritage Retrofit and Addition
Winnipeg, Manitoba
Built in 1915, the Cornish Library is a Grade II listed heritage building and a City of Winnipeg Landmark Heritage Structure. To make the library more accessible to meet the needs of today’s users, this project involved extensive interior renovations to be completed within an existing building footprint. The jewel of the Cornish’s $2.5-million, multi-year makeover is its extension: clad in floor-to-ceiling oak, and supported by a solitary but heavy-duty concrete column, the space is made to house community shindigs and extra reading room, and to host rotating exhibitions by area artists.

Oak Bluff Medical Centre and Future Use Building
Rural Municipality of Macdonald, Manitoba
The Oak Bluff Medical Centre and Future Use Building is a newly completed design-build project located in the rapidly growing McGillivray Business Park. The 12,800-square-foot, single-storey facility is anchored by a 6,000-square-foot state-of-the-art medical centre, designed to unify two existing practices into one integrated healthcare space. The medical centre features x-ray and ultrasound units, a triage area, a pharmacy, reception area, and 12 exam rooms, providing comprehensive services from family physicians and specialists under one roof.
The building also includes space for three future tenants, allowing for flexibility and long-term growth as new practices are established. Constructed with a combination of wood and steel structure, the facility includes parking for 55 vehicles and charging stations for electric vehicles.
As Construction Manager, CPI oversaw all aspects of the project, including new mechanical and electrical systems, structural and civil work, landscaping, and interior finishes. Sustainability principles were integrated throughout, featuring high-efficiency windows and doors, LED lighting, low-flow plumbing fixtures, and the development of green spaces to enhance energy performance and environmental stewardship.
The result is a modern, efficient, and community-focused medical facility designed to meet the growing healthcare needs of Manitoba’s Oak Bluff area.
Firing Range Remediation and Reconstruction Project
Winnipeg, Manitoba
This Firing Range Remediation and Reconstruction Project in Winnipeg, Manitoba, involved an extensive overhaul of the existing firing range within a fully occupied and high-security building. The primary goal was to remediate all lead contamination in the range and its mechanical systems, followed by the installation of a new HVAC system and updated firing range facilities.
A new rooftop was installed to enhance durability and protect the updated infrastructure. The redesigned range, with over $600,000 invested in state-of-the-art materials and equipment, now meets the highest standards for training and safety. Thanks to careful planning and strict adherence to security protocols, the project was executed without disruption to building operations, delivering a safe, efficient and modernized facility.
