Project Description

New Fixed Fuel System

As part of the project, CPI was responsible for the supply and installation of all necessary electrical systems and signal wiring, mechanical systems installation, conduit and overhead piping support structures, pumps and operating equipment. The new storage tank system is identified with the Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) Federal Identification Registry for Storage Tank Systems (FIRSTS).

Project Challenges

The project was extremely complicated, involving the supply and installation of two new 500,000 gallon diesel fuel storage tanks, as well as the necessary storage tank containment and truck unloading pads, dispensing system, pump house building, new access road and a new storm water collection system.

Decommissioning and Disposal

This Fixed Fuel System Upgrade also included the demolition and removal of the existing dispensing facility, including piping, site work, electrical, motor controls and fencing.
