Lower Fort Garry Historic Site – Fire Protection Systems and Building Repairs

About the project

Parks Canada Agency required a contractor to complete rehabilitation and repairs to three historic buildings at Lower Fort Gary, namely Big House, Furloft and Men’s House. Work includes repairs and upgrades to the fire protection, heating and electrical systems following a malfunction of the sprinkler system. CPI designed and installed a dry pipe sprinkler system that meets or exceeds all current building and fire protection codes and standards of performance. The work also included architectural restoration, including heritage plastering and appropriate interior finishes to manage and maintain the site’s heritage values and character-defining elements.
