Marine Terminals Property – Aboveground Fuel Facility

About the project

Removal of two existing aboveground fuel dispensing systems, including two 25,000 litre single-wall steel storage tanks (one gasoline and one diesel), complete with their associated single wall steel product pipelines, submersible pumps, fuel-dispensing islands, and all associated equipment. The two existing dual product, dual hose fuel-dispensers from the underground tank project were retained, refurbished and reinstalled at this site.

Installation of a new system, including two new double-walled HDPE jacketed steel storage tanks (50,000L gasoline / 25,000L diesel) installed in the existing parking area, and two refurbished dual product, dual hose fuel dispensers, each equipped with two stainless steel spring-rewind hose reels. The new storage tank systems include submersible pumps, overfill prevention alarms, overfill prevention devices and electronic monitoring and tank gauging console for system leak detection and inventory monitoring. The new storage tank system is identified with the Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) Federal Identification Registry for Storage Tank Systems (FIRSTS).
