Percy E. Moore Hospital Fire and Life Safety Upgrades

About the project

CPI completed the supply and installation of a new sprinkler system at Percy E. Moore Hospital on Peguis First Nation. This facility is situated in Manitoba’s Interlake region approximately 200 kilometers north of Winnipeg. It services the nearby First Nations communities of Peguis, Fisher River, Kinonjeoshtegon, and the farming communities of Fisher Branch and Hodgson. Over 10% of the final project value was on local contractors and labor.

The new system is part of a 2015 provincial government initiative to ensure all personal care homes and health facilities in Manitoba be equipped with modern fire response systems by January 2026. To minimize disruption to hospital operations, CPI is completing the work in phases. All work is being done while the building is fully occupied and has remained functional throughout construction. CPI worked closely with facility management to create a detailed schedule to reduce the impact of construction, such as noise and dust, on vulnerable occupants during construction operations.
